Patient Travel Grant Program — Financial Assistance

The Patient Travel Grant Program, founded by Mary and Bob Cosentino, was created to provide mesothelioma patients with financial assistance to travel and be seen by an appropriate mesothelioma expert, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Foundation will cover travel expenses incurred by the patient plus one caregiver who travels with them for lodging/hotel room; gasoline; airplane, bus, and/or train tickets; and cab, Uber, Lyft, metro, or other analogous services.

To qualify for this program, a patient must fall into at least one of these two categories:

1. One trip for one initial consultation with a mesothelioma expert.
2. Multiple trips to participate in an interventional clinical trial (found on clinicaltrials.gov).

Each trip can be reimbursed for up to a maximum of $1,000, with the total reimbursements for all trips not exceeding $6,000 per patient/caregiver annually and not exceeding two clinical trials overall.

To apply, please contact Meghan Butler at mbutler@curemeso.org or 703-879-3824.
