Patient Travel Grant Program — Financial Assistance

The Patient Travel Grant Program, founded by Mary and Bob Cosentino, was created to provide mesothelioma patients with financial assistance to travel and be seen by an appropriate mesothelioma expert, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Foundation will cover travel expenses incurred by the patient plus one caregiver who travels with them for lodging/hotel room; gasoline; airplane, bus, and/or train tickets; and cab, Uber, Lyft, metro, or other analogous services.

To qualify for this program, a patient must fall into at least one of these two categories:

  • Traveling for an initial consultation with a mesothelioma expert
    • Grant amount: Up-to $1,000
  • Be enrolled in a clinical trial — found on clinicaltrials.gov
    • Grant amount: Up-to $6,000, disbursed in amounts of up-to $1,000 throughout the course of the clinical trial

To apply, please contact Jordan Fingerhut at jfingerhut@curemeso.org or 703-879-3824.
